There's a trend happening right now that is building a tremendous amount of authority in the marketplace. So let's jump in and take a look at this…
81% of consumers have been convinced to buy a product or service by watching a brand video.

That's pretty powerful, but more importantly:
Businesses using video marketing grow 49% faster year on year, than organisations without.

So think about this… If you're trying to build a business, trying to build online income, trying to build revenue, and you don't have video, then you're likely to be one of the 50% that's not growing!
So look at that again. When Businesses use video, their company typically grows revenue 49% faster year on year than their competitors.
Why? Because whatever they're doing, they're using video.
Now here's another trend that blew my mind...
80% of users recall a video ad they viewed in the past 90 days.

So when someone is explaining a product, explaining a service, or giving something on offer, that actually stays in the brain of the prospect up to 90 days!
So when users can recall a video ad they viewed in the last 90 days, that is incredibly powerful. And that's why if we leverage the power of video we can start building your authority super fast.
Now look at this trend...
More than three-quarters or 76% of users have visited a company's website after watching one of their video ads on social media.

So if we can take your authority message, and flip it into video, or we can take your expertise, your knowledge, and flip it into video, and then post that on social media… this can drive a lot more traffic to your landing pages, your blog, your website, your offers.
This can bring a huge boost for any business.
So, businesses need video…
But Which Types of Video Marketing Help Build Authority and Trust for Your Business?
First, I want to break down the different types of videos that are available right now that any business could be publishing. Then in the next article, we'll look at which types could help most to build credibility, authority and trust for you among your customers and prospects.
- Explainer Videos: - These videos take a service or product or a strategy, and break it down in great detail.
- Behind the Scenes Videos: This is kind is more of a candid go behind the scenes - Here's what we're doing; Here's how we figured it out; This is what's coming up next. We love these behind the scenes videos when it comes to new products, or new services, or how things got started.
- Branding videos: Now branding videos are very corporate. These are videos that talk about your mission, your vision, your values, the product, the benefit of the product. And it does not need any type of face or person to be on it. But branding videos are very powerful and can drive a lot of opportunity.
- Offer Videos: These are the “cut to the chase”, “I want you to buy”. So they take the product or take their service, they put it in some type of value proposition, where they're going to talk about the problem & the benefit and make some type of offer. So at the end of that offer video, someone clicks a link or goes and buys.
-
Demonstration Videos: I love demonstration videos! Explainer videos are different from demonstration videos, because explainers really explain the concepts. So if you don't understand what social media is, you don't understand what retargeting is, they're going to explain that. But Demonstration video is hands-on, exactly what to do. So if we are going to teach someone how to create an ad, or teach one how to create a video, we would go hands-on. They can look over our shoulder as we demonstrate exactly how to do that task.
- Presentation videos: Presentation videos are more along the lines of offer videos , but offer videos are quite short - typically from 1 to 5 minutes. In Presentation videos on the other hand, we'll make an offer, but they are much longer. They talk for 5 to 10 minutes on the industry, or the problem, or the new trends that are going on in the industry. And then they talk about the different solutions in the marketplace. They talk about their solution and then make an offer. So these can run between 30 and 45 minutes. Most of you will have been on webinars before. A webinar would be considered a presentation video.
-
Review Videos: Now we've all seen review videos online… They come in all shapes and sizes and forms. The newest trend is unboxing videos - where we're going to unpack something, we're going to play around with it, then give our insight or opinion on what we think about it. So review videos are super powerful. You'll also see “review videos” that take actual reviews and actually turn them into videos. So it's not unboxing your physical product. Instead, it’s someone giving a testimonial about their experience. That's called a Review video.
- Interview Videos: Interview Videos are especially powerful because it's a human interacting in there, having a conversation, a very authentic, real conversation. But they're bringing value to their marketplace. They’re giving some tips or giving some insights or giving some wisdom on a problem the marketplace is facing and how it was solved. But the most important thing about interview videos is that it's a person talking that represents the company. There is a face. Not just the brand, but a face.
So when we get into strategy, people buy from people, the interview video is powerful because you feel like you're connecting with someone else that is an expert, someone that is an authority, and you really want to learn from them.
Watch out for the next article, where we'll consider which types of video marketing could help most to build credibility, authority and trust for you among your customers and prospects.
